Steps in the process

If more than one person is involved, invite each person to complete a step, then discuss it. This will focus you on what is important to each so you can make a mutually acceptable decision. It will enrich your process by having different points of view on each subject. It may also make you aware of some differences of opinion. This may cause some tension, but will reduce the possibility of a big mistake that comes out into the open later . . . maybe after it’s too late to change it.
